Once
Sign in
Your account is already made. You only need to choose a password.
- Find the email from the league website about resetting your password. It comes from a noreply address — check your junk folder if it isn't in your inbox.
- Tap the link in the email, type a password you'll remember, and save it.
- Go to slopitchmilton.web.app/login, enter your email and the new password, and tap Sign in.
- You land on your team screen. On your phone, use Add to Home Screen so it's one tap away on game night.
Link expired? The link in the email only works for an hour. On the sign-in page, type your email and tap Send a reset link to get a fresh one.
Captain or exec, same access. Both can score games, send scores and enter stats for your own team.
League admins (the President and Vice Presidents) land in the admin panel instead. The same team screens are at slopitchmilton.web.app/coach and work for every team's games.
Your team screen
What's on it
Five big buttons. The Menu button at the top right reaches all of them from any screen, even halfway through a stat sheet — nothing you've entered is lost.
| Button | Use it |
|---|---|
| Score a game live | During the game. Every run shows on the Live board as you tap. |
| Enter a final score | After the game, if nobody scored it live. |
| Enter stats | After the game. What each of your players did at the plate. |
| Check my team's numbers | Your players' season totals, as the league has them. |
| See my roster | Who's on your team. |
The top of the screen tells you if you still owe the league a score or a stat sheet.
During the game
Score a game live
The score goes up on the Live board a second after you tap, for anyone watching.
- Tap Score a game live and pick the game. Today's games are at the top.
- When a team scores, tap +1 run under that team — once for each run. Tapped by mistake? Take one back.
- For a home run, tap Home run, pick the team, then tap the batter. His name goes on the Live board and the run is added for you — don't also tap +1 for him. Runners who scored ahead of him still need their own +1.
- At the end of each inning, tap Next inning.
- When the game is over, tap End the game and confirm. The score is final, the standings update, and in the playoffs the winner moves into the next round by itself.
One scorer per game. Agree with the other team who's keeping score before the first pitch. Two phones stay in step, but if both people tap the same run it counts twice.
Scored it live? You're done with the score. No need to use Enter a final score as well — go straight to stats.
Tapping Back doesn't end the game. Pick the same game again to carry on.
A live home run is for the scoreboard. It still needs to go on your stat sheet to count in the player stats.
After the game
Enter a final score
Only if the game wasn't scored live. Either team can send it — only one of you needs to.
- Tap Enter a final score. Games you've played that still need a score are marked Needs a score.
- Pick the game. Use + and − to set your team's runs and the other team's runs. It says You won, You lost or Tied underneath, so you can double-check.
- Tap Send the score. The standings update straight away.
Don't send over each other. The last score sent is the one that counts. If the two teams disagree on the score, ask a league admin rather than sending it again.
After every game · each team does its own
Enter player stats
The game shows up here once its final score is in — either sent, or ended on the live screen.
- Tap Enter stats and pick the game. Games still owed are marked Needs stats.
- You'll see one player at a time. Tap a button once for each time he came up to bat:
| Tap | When he… |
|---|---|
| Hit | got a single, double or triple |
| Home run | hit it over the fence |
| Walk | took first on balls |
| Out | was caught or thrown out |
| Struck out | had three strikes |
- Tapped the wrong one? Undo last tap. Player sat out? Tick Did not play.
- Tap Next player, or jump straight to anyone using the jersey numbers at the bottom.
- After the last player, tap Done — check it over. Anyone you missed says Nothing recorded yet — tap Add or Fix beside a name to change it.
- Tap Send to the league. The Stats page updates straight away.
Every tap is saved on your phone as you go. Tap Save and come back later, and next time your team screen offers Pick up where I left off. Finish on the same phone you started on.
Made a mistake after sending? Open the game from Enter stats again, re-enter just the players who were wrong, and send. Players you leave blank keep what you sent the first time.
Any time
Check your numbers
Check my team's numbers shows every player's games, at bats, hits, home runs, walks, strikeouts and average — exactly what the public Stats page shows, with playoffs listed separately. It also tells you which games still need a stat sheet. If it looks right here, it's right on the website.
Quick fixes
If something goes wrong
| Problem | What to do |
|---|---|
| Can't sign in | On the sign-in page, type your email and tap Send a reset link. |
| Game isn't in Enter stats | Its final score isn't in yet. Send the score, or end the live game, first. |
| A game isn't in Enter a final score | It already has a score. To change it, ask a league admin. |
| Ended a live game by mistake | Ask a league admin to reopen it. |
| "That game is locked" | The league has closed it. Ask a league admin. |
| Screen looks out of date | Pull down to refresh the page. |
League admins: George Vanellis (President), Pierre Poitras and Steve Scannell (Vice Presidents). Nothing you do on the team screens can break the website.
